Waterford Landing is one of Richmond Hill's outstanding residential communities. The original master plan for the subdivision included amenities such as watercraft storage and docking facilities for boating enthusiasts, and a spacious recreation park with a pavilion, basket ball courts, and jungle gym for use by the community. An independently owned golf course, driving range, club house and community swimming pool were also available to homeowners on a membership basis. During the recent economic downturn, the golf course could not sustain itself and was forced into foreclosure. Homeowner's recognized an unprecedented opportunity and approved purchase of the entire property, swimming pool, clubhouse, equipment, and facilities, for the private use of our community.

 

Currently, plans and designs are under development for future land use that will enhance the beauty of the common property and expand the amenities available to our homeowners. With the acquisition of the former golf course property, more than 110 acres are now available to ensure that Waterford Landing will be bordered by private property and protected from undesirable development by a "green buffer zone" that lies between the community and any encroaching residential or commercial development. Former golf cart trails that wind their way throughout the community now serve as walking and biking trails available for the enjoyment of all residents. Also, many amenities that were previously available only under terms of an annual membership are now included for use by our homeowners, families, and guests.
